Award-winning book lists are always a good place to find new and interesting books. Here are a few to get you started.
The Newbery Medal is awarded annually by the ALA (American Library Association) to the author of the most distinguished contribution to American Literature for young people. The California Young Reader Medal program encourages recreational reading of popular literature among the young people of our state. The Middle School / Jr. High award began in 1980.
