Softball is an all-girl sport and a fierce one. Each spring, the girls take no prisoners as they hone their skills on the diamond against older, more experienced players in their league. Why? Because most of their games are against squads of high school freshmen and junior varsity teams. As such, the girls become adept with a ball and a bat under the watchful eyes of their coaches. Started four years ago by Mr. Apodoca, the Cal softball team has become a spring tradition here at Cal.
