Nov 15 5:30-8-8:00 The Swamp, Stomp , and Chomp Dinner will feed the Cal community and raise money for the PTSA.
Nov. 2 Cal Speech and Debate won first place 6 of 7 categories in the opening meet of the season at Rosa Parks!
Oct. 20, Ms. Watkin’s Carwash Fundraiser raised money for the trip to the Yosemite Institute.
7th Grade Boys take first place in SCUSD Track Tournament on May 12, 2007.
District Speech and Debate Finals at Brannan wereon May 19. Cal Forensics triumphed taking first palce in four of seven events.

The Poetry Jam on April 30 rocked the house at the Sacramento Theater Company.
Cal students Sophie Wheeler, Rose Rushing, and Rebekah Gerber will be published in the May 3rd Sac News and Review because they won the city-wide poetry contest!
Cal Forensics participated in the Sac High Invitational Tournament, once again finishing first in Parliamentary Debate, Dramatic Interpretation, Oral Interpretation, and Persuasive Speaking. Congratulations to Cris Mancillas, Jack Gugino, Trevon Walker, and Camille Cabe for their victories!
The Talent Show lit up Cal’s stage on March 30. Congrats to Mr. Apodoca and AVID for putting on a great show!
70 Cal kids boarded a bus and attended the Youth Poetry Slam Finals in San Francisco on March 17, 2007.
Cal kids, teachers, and parents attended Othello at the Sacramento Theater Company thanks to a generous donation from the company on March 15.
Cal Forensics finished first in Parliamentary Debate on Feb.2 and again at the Tournament on March 9. They are undefeated so far this year!
Cal’s Seventh Grade Boys Basketball Team is the SCUSD District champion in basketball after winning the finals on February 3!
“The Tempest” ended the first semester with a smashing dramatic success.
