Math
In middle school, some students are ready for algebra, and some are not. Others will be ready for geometry by eighth grade. Fortunately, Cal’s Math department is up to the task. Whether students need remediation or acceleration, students get what they need at Cal. Whether it’s Pre-Algebra, the two year Algebra 101 series, the one year Algebra class for advanc ed students, or taking advantage of Cal’s partnership with C.K. McClatchy to study Geometry, Cal provides a quality education in math. Of course, there is more to math than solving for X and graphing lines. Math is the language of describing the motion of planets, the loads bridges can bear, and the shape of common objects. To this end, Cal’s Mr. Dell has students build bridges, asssemble models built from Platonic solids, and all Cal’s math instructors work with their colleagues in science. Ms. Licon’s Math Class
