Welcome
California Middle School provides excellent instruction in language arts for all levels of students. Over their two years at Cal, students will master essay writing, develop their ability to read for information and depth, as well as prepare for the maze of standardized tests that they must pass to reach the next level. Be it the the newly modified
SAT, the California Standards Test, or the the High School Exit Exam, Cal students are ready.
Naturally, not all students arrive at Cal at the same level. For the most intellectually advanced students, GATE provides challenges that transcend the Holt curriculum in depth. For students operating at just beyond grade level, Cal's advanced classes give an additional instruction in writing essays, as well as more demanding reading. For students in danger or falling behind, two hour block classes shore up skills and provide additional reading strategies. Cal's faculty commits itself to leaving no child behind.
